About Us
Biami Campers was founded in 2024 with a simple vision: to provide travellers with a comfortable and relaxing way to explore Tasmania’s wild beauty. We believe time in nature isn’t just a holiday, it’s a chance to slow down, reconnect, and experience something bigger than the everyday. Our name, Biami, comes from an Aboriginal word meaning the Creator or Sky God, a reminder of freedom, connection, and open skies.
Based in Sandy Bay, just 3km from Hobart CBD, we’re perfectly placed for visitors flying into Hobart Airport. Our freshly converted vans are designed for comfort, smart storage, and easy driving, making campervan hire in Tasmania simple, reliable, and unforgettable. Alongside rentals, we also offer custom campervan fit-outs, helping to bring your own van dreams to life. At our core, Biami is about one thing: creating campervans that let people connect with nature, travel freely, and carry home memories that last.

FAQs
Q1. What’s included in my rental?
A: Each campervan comes fully equipped for your Tasmanian adventure, including bedding, linen, kitchenware, gas stove, fridge, and all basic cooking essentials. Every van also has off-grid capability (water tanks, and 12V power) so you can comfortably explore Tasmania’s remote spots.
Q2. Where can I pick up my campervan?
A: All pickups and drop-offs are from North Hobart, just a 5-minute drive from the CBD and about 25 minutes from Hobart Airport. The exact address will be shared a few days before your booking begins.
Q3. Is airport pick-up and drop-off available?
A: Yes, it’s available at an additional cost and depends on availability. Please contact us to discuss your travel details and confirm in advance.
Q4. Is one-way rental available?
A: Yes, we offer one-way rentals at an additional cost, subject to availability. Please contact us prior to booking to check if your preferred route can be arranged.
Q5. Is roadside assistance included?
A: Yes, full roadside assistance is included with every booking through our partner network — giving you peace of mind anywhere in Tasmania.
Q6. Do I need insurance?
A: Yes. When you book through Camplify, you’ll be able to choose the insurance cover that best suits your needs. All claims or damages are processed via Camplify’s secure insurance system.
Q7. Is my booking refundable?
A: Yes , cancellations and refunds are managed by Camplify in line with their policy. The earlier you cancel, the higher your eligible refund or credit amount.
Q8. Can I take the campervan on a ferry?
A: Yes, you can take your Biami Campervan to Bruny Island. Other ferry routes, such as Flinders Island, King Island, or the Spirit of Tasmania, require prior permission before travel — please contact us to discuss this before booking.
